Here is the split in creations which is the fall of man having a broken relationship with God. Hence the need for a representative of man and a representative from God. And if he was not both natures, He could not fairly represent either one. Similarly the purpose of our whole political system. The governed and the government. The electorate and the elected and the lobbyist. Everyone wants to be heard, understood and acted fairly upon. The courts and the Judge, the prisoner and prisons. Judgement, arbitration and retribution. To arbitrate fairly on behalf of the warring creations. For the spirit wars against the flesh and the flesh wars against the spirit so Jesus was called the son of God and the son of man qualifying his ability to do just that.

He is our advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, He who is also described as our mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus. For him to represent us He has to be one of us. He had to come from our trenches not just as a spectator but in total experience. He who in the days of His flesh, offered up prayers for us with sobbing and weeping. He could not have done this without being one of us. His compassion touched every level of pain we could experience and more. For He by the grace of God tasted death for every maN”. Why? So we wouldn’t have to. For on Him was laid the inequity of us all and by His stripes we are healed. For it pleased the Father to bruise Him for our sake.

The Father the Son and the Holy Spirit talked of this great gulf between our species and formulated the plan of salvation. From Isaiah 6, whom shall go, who shall we sent from us?We know Him whose goings forth were of old to everlasting, being from eternity past to eternity future, Christ the same yesterday today and forever, the forever man, the man who also was God, the one necessary to save all of mankind. He who was the propitiation for the whole world.

This is the only missing link that is not a perversion, a genetically modified hybrid. He is the one and only link between a species. Without Him humanity would be forever lost. Who is worthy to open the scroll and to remove the seals (to reveal the New Creation)? Behold the lion from the tribe of Judah. Then they beheld the lamb as though it had been slain and He then came and took the scroll. Having expired all the pictures that preserved humanity, God sent the Son and rescued it. The Son did what all the law and the prophets could not do. He provided a baptism that exceeded the baptism of Moses. He was the true waters and He was the rock that was smote. He was the true manna. He was the red heifer. He was the sacrifice lamb, He was the lamb sent into the wild. He was every message ever displayed by the old ways and then having expired them. “Lo I have come in the volume of the book to do thy will. He set them on a shelf for our perusal. God who in times past spoke to the fathers by pictures and parables has in these last days spoken by His Son. They are fulfilled in the life of Christ.

The point here is that all the law and the prophets were attempts to get believers to cross over in species, to become a born from above new creation. It was not That it was not offered before Christ, it was not easily understood so the road had to be widened and made straight as was prophesied of John the Baptist, “make straight the ways of the Lord”. If there had been a law or a prophecy that worked Christ would not have come. “Father if there is any other way” And having provided several attempts we now look to the God man. For all other attempts were pictures for us on whom the end of the age has come. They spoke not for themselves but for us about the grace of God. For the law was by Moses but grace and truth by Jesus Christ.

The prophets searched of what manner of time the Spirit of Christ who was in them, testifying of the sufferings of Christ and the Glories that would follow. We who believe are those Glories that follow. He was the first fruit and we are a kind of first fruit of His creation. That is the new creation. So we too are these missing links severally being members of His body the fullness of Him who fills all and all.

Those of old pictured the Passover lamb where death invisibly passes over like for us. Which was also continuously re-stated in the sacrifices by burning the skin and the carcass “outside the camp”. This was all finished in Christ as He received the burning judgment of all from the Almighty God on our behalf.

Those of old were provided the picture of baptism with Noah’s flood and crossing the Red Sea, crossing the Jordan, and  with John the baptist as well as others. These all taught not the putting off of the filth of the flesh put an answer of a clear conscience.They pointed to the serpent on a pole which is Christ on the cross as an event past, which gave them passage into the future. They were all to do this by faith as are we. To enter the very presence of God. “There remains a rest to the people of God for he who has entered his rest has ceased from his works as God did”. To be with Him where He is as Christ prayed.

And if Christ said it we can do it. And having put off the old man by faith we do. Paul’s words from Romans, walk in newness of life. We have to “recon ourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ”. And since the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead has already quickened your mortal body by His Spirit who dwells in you. For as many as are led by this Spirit of God, these are the sons of God”. These are first fruits bearing His likeness being several copies of the missing link. As He is, so are we in this world. We being transformed (2 Cor 3.18) being metamorphosed by His Spirit by looking at the Glory we become Glory, being the Glories that would follow. 1 Peter 1.11.  Romans 8. 30 For whom He for knew these He also called and whom He called these He justified and these He justified He also Glorified.
