The carnal man interprets Gods words into time and events to come into being for the carnal senses. Something that is not yet but will be. They call this prophesy. But prophesy is just the speaking forth what already is and always will be that is to be revealed, or unveiled. We are instructed by scripture to look to the invisible. Not the future. 2 Corinthians 4.18
We know them who said “let Us make man in our image and likeness”. Then they, the plurality of God, proceeded to make them male and female. They wanted us to know them that way, male and female. So when we get to Christ’s discourse about the heavenly family in John 14-16 we draw upon this truth. Male and female made He them in His, or their image. (there are other articles explaining this in depth if you are new to the plurality of God, male and female. Please read earlier post’s)
In the book of John, Christ said that He would not leave us orphans, that He would send “another helper” a different parent, not Himself but one like Him, meaning bone of His bone and Flesh of His flesh, in composition and design similar to Him of non-matter before creation spirit and truth. That He would send “the comforter”, whom the “world can neither see or know”. Â Here we have the hierarchy of the family of God and the parents of those who are “in Christ” and born of them. If we look at them in the Greek it takes on a fuller meaning. The English translators committed a huge blunder here.
This is the first part in a series that deal with these obscurities in the English translations from the Greek and Hebrew scriptures.
This comforter/helper comes from the Greek word “parakleetos” which is from the word “parakleesis” meaning comfort, consolation and exhortation. The “parakleetos’ is the one that brings comfort, consolation, and exhortation. It is actions of the parakleetos that brings parakleesis to the “kleesia”. We have the giver, the gift and the receiver of the gift.
in Christ as are we. The church is not the bride of Christ, the Holy Spirit is. There is nothing on earth or time and matter that is of the right design and composition to qualify being the bride but Her. It is not 3 men in heaven ruling mankind.
I don’t understand why the church today thinks that it is the literal bride of Christ. It is no more the bride of Christ than Eve or the tabernacle or the temple. These are all female images displaying eternal things unexposed to the carnal mind, unveiling the intimacies of the living God, His helper, another comforter, the one sent so we would not be orphans. To those who are born of the spirit.
If you have a view from above, a heavenly one, looking down on the tabernacle of meeting with the holies and most holy, or even the temple in Ezekiel, you see it is laid out like a human body taking on human form having the head facing east. The Holy of Holies being the mind and reason.
God called Israel His Son in Exodus 4.22. But Israel was not really Gods son but an image like Adam and Eve. The same with Solomon, meaning peace, (Shalome)and Jerusalem (Yeru-Shalome) meaning city of peace. Â These portray the King and His Bride. The male and female working together fully portray God being made “in His image and likeness made He them male and female”. This is what Adam, Israel and Solomon portrayed, but then expired by Jesus Christ who said, “he who has seen Me has seen the Father”.
As with the tabernacle so too with Jerusalem. The twelve tribes are positioned around the tabernacle or the city as if to protect her. To protect her, to cover her. She is hidden in them. Israel is the same picture as the body of Christ, the prophets were the eyes.
We know the prophets cried over the city Jerusalem and called her “mother”, but she was not really their mother any more than Israel was Gods Son. Israel and the kingdom are like Adam and Eve. Unlike with Adam who’s bride was taken out of his side, the city/bride, is hidden inside of Israel, from within ,portraying “In Christ”. And outsiders or foreigners were not to partake in the workings of the temple which are the invisible things of God.
Paul defined himself as a steward of these mysteries of God, to dispense to the elect of God, those in Christ, not Adam. These mysteries are the interpretation of the physical into the eternal spiritual counter part. This is what a prophet does. He is to make simple the eternal realities of God through pictures and patterns and visions. You see the Jewish leaders thought the temporary pictures were the real deal when Jesus said that He would re-build the temple in 3 days, they said that it took Solomon years to build. The Lord was never talking about the physical. The earthen pictures always refer to an eternal counterpart. Jesus was talking about His body, the invisible Kingdom.
Now I hate to break it to the church on earth but what we are is the same as was earthly Jerusalem, a temporary picture of the eternal realities of the Kingdom of God which are at hand, within grasp. If this were not true, why would Paul say of the body of Christ on earth that “prophesies will fail, tongues will cease, knowledge will vanish”, being temporary, but when that which is perfect has come then that which is in part will be done away with. That is right. Tongues and prophecies end with the understanding of what already was.
The church is a means to an end like all the other pictures and patterns given for us to understand God. And what is the purpose then of these things given in part? To hold us over until the illusive second coming? To keep us in a holding pattern til He comes to deliver us? Wake up! He already did that.
These things were given “til we come to a mature understanding, to bring us into the full stature and measure of Christ”. And if that is to happen to each one of us now, what are you standing around for? Know ye not the parable of the talents?
And of Paul again “I press on to lay a hold of why Christ laid hold of me. This is walking with God, to press on toward the upward call in Christ. As many as have this mind are mature.
The church like Israel, is a guardian or a tutor to bring us to faith, but after faith has come, or after you receive the eternal counter part, you are no longer subject to the repetitious cycle of the patterns. It brings you to the eternal invisible, ever ready kingdom of God. You are not at some train station waiting for a man named Jesus to come and save you. He already did that if you have an ounce of faith.
And of those who understand the spiritual counterpart? Galatians 6.16 As many as walk according to this rule, peace (Shalome) and mercy be upon them, (upon us) upon the Israel of God”
We speak what we hear and testify of what we see and man does not receive our testimony. If I tell you earthly things and you don’t understand, how can I tell you heavenly. They were never meant to be earthly, but to teach us eternal.
If we are not talking about the “Kingdom of God at hand” we may be like those who Christ said “you are neither entering the Kingdom nor are you allowing those who are trying to enter to do so. We may be found false stewards if we stop short of this one thing.
Behold I stand at the door and knock!
The Bride is in the Groom.
The Kingdom of God is at Hand!
Jesus in John 3 said of himself “We speak what we know and testify what we have seen”. He spoke of himself as being plural which is not surprising for He is the same one who said “let us make man in Our likeness”. When John wrote he specifically used the word “Ekeinos” which means “they” and “them” when talking about Christ, but the English translators interpretation was that into “him”, a singular person. So what John was trying to convey by choosing the word “ekeinos” is lost. John was speaking of the fullness of the Godhead being a plurality and being present in Jesus. I have other articles that go deeper into this, but my point here is that Jesus is a plurality and John called Him “They” and “Them”.Now when we go back to the beginning and on the 6th day when God made man in His likeness he made Adam whole. Adam had not entered his deep sleep to be halved yet. It is in the first words about Adam that God “made him male and female created He them”. And “God blessed them and said to them let them be fruitful, let them multiply let them fill the earth. The Lord called him them like John called Christ them.Adam in his beginning was a plurality in one as Christ is a plurality in one. “Let us make make man in Our likeness”.That from the beginning which we have heard and seen we testify to you. Now for what came next. The Revelation of Adam and The foreshadowing of Christ’s Revelation
Adam was half the man of Jesus because his rib was taken from him. His hidden insides were seen when his rib called his wife was exposed. This was the Revelation of Adam, the unveiling, the exposure of what would not otherwise have been seen. That is why the command was given that “the two shall become one”. To mend that tear. This man Adam who was made in the image of God. For God had said “Let Us make man in Our image and likeness” and “in His image he made them male and female”. So when Adam was halved, when his rib was removed he exposed not so much his own insides but the invisible workings of the eternal God, broken down for human consumption. For our understanding of Him divided in the two parts male and female. She was his hidden person.
Kind begets kind and Bone of My Bone.
It has been given to us to know the interpretation of the things God has spoken for “we have the mind of Christâ€. There is a one to one correlation from the physical to the invisible realities. All the pictures and patterns with all the physical representations have their invisible counterpart. After we understand this we no longer need the visible.Â
God created man in His image male and female. He chose to display His hidden attributes in these two as they came together. “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave to his brideâ€.
We know from the creation account that God spoke. And when God spoke His word came forth. And that when God spoke His breath/Spirit came forth. The Father being the source, then the Son and Spirit. “The Spirit brooded over the face of the watersâ€. Not that one was lessor or greater but different in purpose, being equally God with all the attributes, displaying complimentary characteristics.
It was said of Christ that he “declared the Fatherâ€. He said “if you have seen me you have seen the Fatherâ€. Then it was necessary that He was also the fullness of the Father, His completeness, as scripture says, and that if He was the “fullness of the Father†He had to be “male and female made He themâ€.
For Christ to appropriately display the fullness of God, and He did for “in Him dwelleth the fullness of the God head bodyâ€, He had to display the same attributes as the Father before it was said He made male and female to display His likeness, before this split.
Well how did Christ on earth do this? Well the first creation started with the Word and the Spirit leaving the mouth of God, and they split as they departed. The Word creates, the Spirit incubates. And this is what happens inside us when we receive them. The new creation is when the Word and the Spirit become one again. You catch a glimpse of this in all other unions or marriages. We call this the procreation of a species. The two becoming one and begetting according to their own likeness, be it a mammal or a fish or a reptile. You get the picture.
In heavenly terms this is what is referred to as “the Wedding banquet†that we are invited to. It is the coming together to be one of the Holy Word and the Holy Spirit, the true union. And this has to take place before there are any offspring. This is the union that takes place in the heart of believers when they accept Christ.
So how and when did Christ on earth display the Father in the two, both male and female? It was at His baptism that Christ received the Holy Spirit, thereby “fulfilling all righteousnessâ€. It was at that time the Father said “this is my beloved Son in Him I am well pleasedâ€. He could only be pleased if the Son were a true “chip off the ol blockâ€, and correctly displayed who He was before the beginning, before His Word and Spirit went forth.
The first creation started with the split. God divided light and dark. earth and sky, land from water, etc. But more importantly when the Word and the Spirit come back together, being united, or wed, or married, this then is the union of the new creation. “For my Word will not return to me void but shall accomplish all that I desireâ€. Which is? You shall go out (birthed) with joy, you shall be led forth with peaceâ€. And who is the you in that passage? It is those born of that union, the union of the Word and Spirit, reunited to procreate true images of that union born in His likeness, in His fullness. We “receive the en-grafted Wordâ€, and are “begotten by the word of truth to be a kind (kind begets kind) of first fruits of His creationâ€. This being the “male and female made He them in His likenessâ€. And from the book of John, that which is born of the flesh is flesh, that which is born of the Spirit is spirit, you must be born again. This is pretty radical if you can grasp what I am saying.
So back to Christ’s baptism for a fuller explanation. The Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove and remained upon Him to never depart, the Spirit given to the Son without measure,to never be divided or split again.
John the “Baptizer†knew this, and knew this was his purpose. “Make straight paths the way of the Lordâ€. They grew up together and did not know this until that glorious moment. “I did not know him but upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon, THIS IS HE!â€. And I have seen and testify that truly this is the Son of God.
But it doesn’t stop here. John made even a more radical remark when his disciples were asking about this Christ man. They asked “who is He whom you testified of back at the Jordan? John then replied in present tense. Meaning then! Not later. He said “He who Has the Bride is the Bridegroom, but the friend (John meaning himself) of the Bridegroom, who stands and hears Him, rejoices greatly because of the Bridegrooms voice. That is why this joy of mine is full. And from the Greek, “THEY must increase but I must decrease, THEY who come from above are above allâ€. That is the two in one, the Word and the Spirit. As Christ said to Nicodemus “WE speak what WE know and testify what WE have see and you do not receive OUR testimonyâ€. Do you?
If you are still here, without any further adieu, may I introduce to you the Bride and Groom. The Word and the Spirit. For John did not talk about THEM as engaged, or as though THEY would be married on a future date, or the soon to be or THEY would have been called fiance’. He said “He who has the Bride is the Bridegroomâ€. This is an introduction only for the newly weds and completely in-appropriate for the un-wed couple. Stay with me for there is more.
The baptism of Christ was necessary to “fulfill all righteousnessâ€. To accomplish the full task and purpose of the Son on earth. To Accomplish all! For the Word and the Spirit to come together to have offspring. That is those born of Word and Spirit. Which is us! If you believe. And if this is not the truth, and the wedding has not taken place, then those who claim to be born again are born out of wed lock. Then we would all be born from pre-marriage fornication, we would be bastards.
If you are waiting to see a future wedding you are walking by sight using the reason of your carnal mind as it relates to the physical senses. For He is the one who calls things that don’t exist as though they do, because they really do where it counts. In Spirit and truth. This is a message for those who are called out, which comes from the Greek word Eklisia, the word translated Church. The called out of the world. To be be called into. And the into is “In Christâ€. This mystery and many more are “in Himâ€. Which is where all the hidden treasures of God are at, be it a mystery or a revelation,be it the Spirit or the body. None of these are realities to the human senses. Kind begets kind and kind associates with kind and ye must be born of the spirit. If you have stayed with me this far you are of this kind. If this is the first time you have seen and accepted this. Welcome home.
We will explore this new creation in greater depth. What is the new creation? For those who believe, it is you. It is Him. It is us as we put Him on. It Is now, He is now, the Kingdom of God is at hand! The King, the Queen, the City, and His government. If this was not true you would have a King without a kingdom. And what is a King without a kingdom? What is a judge without a court? What is a husband without a wife? He is or He isn’t. Check mate. The true King is always standing.
